Glennie Aldridge Williams

Celebration of Life Services for Glennie Aldridge Williams of Auburn, Alabama will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 am (CST), Ebenezer Baptist Church. Interment at Town Creek Cemetery, Auburn, Alabama with Rev. Jonas E. Rutledge Officiating. The body will lie in repose one hour before service at the church. The wake will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Friday March 24, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (CST). Mrs. Williams passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard H. Williams and her brother Richard T. Aldridge. She leaves to cherish her memories: four children, Manatha (Dorothy) Allen of Auburn, Alabama, Saundra E. Aldridge (sister) of Auburn, Alabama, two daughters from her first marriage, Carol (Bernard) Davis of Bainbridge, Georgia and Kathy (Preston) Long of Fairburn, Georgia; two brothers, John A. (June) Aldridge Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Bill F. (Joy) Aldridge of Richmond, California; five sisters, Claudia A. Duncan of Flint, Michigan, Josie A. (Charles) Edwards of Dayton, Ohio, Cozetta A. Trimble of Chicago, Illinois, and Verneda A. (Winston) Dowdell of Newnan, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Daryl, Jasmine and Jaquarius Davis, Adrienne Aldridge, Krista Long, Kimberly, Kendra, and Kevin Allen; five great grandchildren, Allison Makayla Bailey, Cameron Davis, Terrance and Shaila Allen and Bryatt Terrell and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
