David Agnew

David P. Agnew Sr.

February 6, 2008 Elder David P. Agnew Sr., 81, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at Veterans Hospital. He was born in Salisbury, NC, and lived in Syracuse most of his life. He retired from Allied Chemical as a welder. David was a veteran of WWII, U.S. Ar-my. He was a former pastor at Christ Temple Pentecostal Church and was the sponsor of the food pantry; he was a member of the Ministerial Alliance and volunteer for PEACE. He was predeceased by his son, David P. Agnew Jr., in 1989. Survivors: his wife, Helen; daughter, Linda (Walter) Cage of Syracuse; sons, Lamont (Ruthie) Agnew of Alabama, Herbert (Perl) Agnew of Georgia and Stanley Agnew of Syracuse; sisters, Maggie Brice and Rosa Mae Evans of Syracuse; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Calling Hours: 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Holy Temple Church, 643 W Onondaga St., Syracuse, with funeral services to follow at noon. Burial in Veterans Cemetery. Farone & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
