March 6, 2008 Lillie M. Spinks, 74, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life after a battle with cancer on Thursday, March 6, 2008. Mrs. Spinks was a resident of Syracuse, NY, for over 40 years. Lillie was employed by General Electric for 12 years and with Care Giv-ers for 10 years. She served under the leadership of the late Rev. William A. Mack and Rev. Henry Bernard Alex at Second Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Spinks served as a deaconess, missionary, Sunday school teacher and the culinary ministry. Mrs. Spinks was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Samuel Spinks Jr., on May 1, 2002. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memories her children, Janice D. Brach, Jacqueline M. Babatunde, Regina F. Reid and (Jerome), all of Syracuse, NY; one son, Timothy P. Spinks (Renee) of Garner, NC; and Arnetti B. Burke (Michael), Charlotte, NC; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Greater New Testament MBC, 1121 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY.

I was very shocked to find my mother's obit on here. Thanks... I miss my mom dearly!
