Foolish Questions

I listened to Obama's speech on Racial Divisions last night.

I was poised to watch the interview that followed.

The reporter asked Obama if he considered himself a black man or an American.

I was done listening for the evening.

I'm tired of that question and the people who ask it.

It's about the same as me asking one of them do you consider yourself a human or an earthling, but they don't see it that way.

I went to bed mindful of Paul the Apostle's advice about avoiding foolish and unlearned questions which only engender strife.

On the train ride to work someone said, "You can look for some of them to act downright surly behind that speech."

He was right.

  1. What an incredibly hypocritical moment in our nation's history. Yep, HISTORICAL. Name another Presidential candidate that had to assure people that they were NOT racist?

Hell, it's a hysterical moment too.

George Wallace (where ever he may be) is straight up tickled.
