Watchdogs or Lapdogs?

concerning Federal Prosecutors and Alabama media's role in the railroading of Don S.

The Huntsville Lecture that sparked the flurry

Typical of such matters in Alabama, it's hard to understand what's at issue.

Looks like a Northerner used some words a Southerner didn't understand and the Southerner got mad, but didn't know exactly what about. I could be wrong. I'll clarify when I get more info.
