A Dallas County woman who holds true to her antebellum beliefs and was never a Chestnut fan has a different opinion.
"He was one of the 'Notorious Three,' as I call them," said Pat Goldwin, who described Chestnut, Sen. Sanders and his wife, Faya Rose Toure, as "domestic terrorists."
Goldwin, a leader of the local United Daughters of the Confederacy chapter, said the three were responsible for "destroying the public school system" in Selma in 1990 during an extended boycott by black students that became violent and led then-Gov. Guy Hunt to send in armed National Guard troops to restore order.
