BOSTON -- Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick asked non-emergency state workers to stay home Friday in the face of an oncoming winter storm that is expected to dump as much as a foot of snow on area roads and highways.
Patrick said executive branch state employees should not report to the office, and he encouraged private sector employers to have their workers stay home as well.
