Funeral service for Mr. Dalmus Demar "Bubba" Pitts, 35, of Auburn will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at White Street Missionary Baptist Church with interment in Westview Cemetery. Pastor Jamal Oliver with officiate. Mr. Pitts passed Tuesday, December 29, 2010 at the East Alabama Medical Center. In 1993, he graduated from Auburn High School where he was on the basketball team. Following graduation, he attended Auburn University and transferred to Albany State University where he was on the basketball team. He also served as a referee for the local youth league sports. A family hour will be held at 6:00 pm. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors: a daughter, Cierra Camille Pitts, Athen, GA; his parents, Phillip and Delores Pitts, Auburn; three sisters, Patrice Pitts (finance', Antavious Lipscomb), Opelika, Jessica Pitts, Tuscaloosa and Dutches (Ivory) Goshton, Louisville, TX; his maternal grandmother, Alice Robinson, Auburn; nephews, Tyler Matthews and Braxton Lipscomb; a niece, Ebonei Goshton;a friend who was like a brother, Chris Jones, Auburn; several aunts, uncles, a host of cousins and friends.
