REMUR PITTS HOLLEY

 Funeral service for Mrs. Remur Pitts Holley, 78, of Auburn will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 14, 2012 at Ebenezer C.M.E. Church with interment in Pine Level Cemetery. Rev. Larry Threatts will officiate. Mrs. Holley passed Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at her home. She was a member of Ebenezer C.M.E. Church where she served faithfully on the Missionary, Stewardess and Usher Boards and as a Laywomen. She was a member of Tennie Wilson Chapter #174, Silver Queen Grand Chapter O.E.S., Ladies of Charity Amaranth Court #1497, Sisters of Light H.O.J. Court #1498, and Hathor Daughters of Isis Court #1499. After thirty-five years of service, she retired from Auburn University Housing and Residence Life. The O.E.S. final rites will be given at the graveside. Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors: four children, Earnestine (James) Washington, Auburn, Eddie (Rita) Holley, Pensacola, FL, Kenny (Mary) Holley, Montgomery and Bertha Holley, Auburn: god-daughter, Barnese Adair (Leon) Wallace, Auburn; two loving and devoted grandchildren, Marcus Corneilus Washington, Leesburg, VA and Latrice Shanta (Ulric) Brown, Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Sabrina Washington, Enrika Washington, Kristi Washington, Stephanie Lockhart, Zopon Williams, Kalisha Holley, Kimberly Holley, Kenny Preston Jr., Kendrick Stinson, Tammy Holley, Kelvin Holley, Jewel Smith, Pam Pitts, DeShana Pitts and Tonya Pitts; fourteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; god-grandchildren, Derrick Tywayne Ware and Kendra She'wan Marshall; two sisters-in-law, Mary Holley Bailey, Atlanta, GA and Roberta Jackson, Brooklyn, NY; three brothers-in-law, George Jackson, Elizabeth, NJ, Eddison Jackson, Detroit, MI and Frank Jackson, Brooklyn, NY; a loving and devoted cousin, Cleo (James) Randolph, Auburn; two special friends, Vera Butler, Atlanta, GA and Annie Ruth Ezell, Notasulga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
