Alabama Governor Offers Reward in Auburn Double Murder

Ala. governor offers reward in double murder
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Gov. Bob Riley is offering a reward of
$5,000 each for information about the slayings of two people who
were shot to death in east Alabama last month.
The administration made the offer Thursday for information
leading to an arrest in the killings of 38-year-old Jerome Brundage
and 42-year-old Carol Oliver Dowdell on July 23.
The two were found dead in a home in Auburn. Authorities said
the victims were boyfriend and girlfriend whose bodies were
discovered by relatives.
A child was also found in the home unharmed.

The funeral service for Jerome Brundage, 38, of Auburn, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Bell Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Westview Cemetery, Pastor Mark X. Lee will officiate.

Mr. Brundage, who passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009, was born in Macon County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, July 29, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include: five children, Jennifer Spinks, Alexis Lashay Brundage, Leena Veara McCray, Naja LaMoya McCray and Nehemiah JaVora Scott all of Auburn, AL; mother, Yvette Rowell of Auburn, AL; father, Byron W. Brundage, Sr. of Auburn, AL; grandmother, Carrie Nellums of Auburn, AL; four brothers, Byron W. Brundage, Jr., Cedric (Beth) Crawford, Derrick Holifield, Petorie Roberts all of Auburn, AL; one sister, Felicia Holifield of Auburn, AL; eight aunts, Mary A. Davis of Miami, FL, Eloise Harvey, Yvonne Pressley, Odessa Berry, Lucille Barry, Willie Mae Lilly, Minister Christine (Reverend Jessie) Bradshaw and Belinda (Bobby) Jackson all of Auburn, AL; eight uncles, Freddie (Bernice) Rowell of Montgomery, AL, John (Janie) Rowell, Wallace Rowell of Auburn, AL, John Berry, Darryl Berry, Darnell Berry, Wyman (Zola) Berry of Opelika, AL, and Roy lee Berry of Atlanta, GA; four great-aunts, Lois Lockhart, Frankie (Willie) King, Fannie (Solomon) Stephens, and Patricia (Michael) Jordan all of Auburn, AL; one great-uncle, Ronnie Brundage of Auburn, AL; god-mother, Dorothy Beavers of Auburn, AL; special friend, Marquetta Williams of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
