In Memory of Cousin Charles Floyd ..... Tribute to Rev. Ernest Franklin- "I'm Packing Up, Getting Ready"

The funeral service for Charles Floyd, 76, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in Pine Level Cemetery, Rev. Anthony Shealey will officiate. Mr. Floyd, who passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his home in Auburn, Alabama, was born to the late Tommie James and Georgia Odell Cooper Floyd on December 1, 1936 in Loachapoka, Alabama. Charles was a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Loachapoka, Alabama, where he served in the church choirs, Sunday School, Wednesday Night Bible Study, Vacation Bible School Ministries and church janitorial services. He also served on the Pine Level Cemetery Committee. Public viewing will be Friday, June 14, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Mr. Floyd will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors include: one son, Gregory (Kesheia) Floyd of Atlanta, GA; twin grandchildren, Caleb and Yolanda Floyd of Auburn, AL; ten brothers, Lorenzo (Mary) Floyd of Auburn, AL, Joesephus (Linda) Floyd of Hopkins, SC, Lodolphus (Liz) Floyd of Auburn, AL, James (Tracy) Floyd of Loachapoka, AL, George (Florine) Floyd of Warner Robins, GA, Kennie (Lorene) Floyd of Montgomery, AL, Bobby (Angela) Crowder of Hammond, IN, James (Hazel) Jenkins of Gary, IN, Jerry (Kamisha) Floyd and Terry Floyd both of Loachapoka, AL; one sister, Scharlotte Raven of Loachapoka, AL; sister-in-law, Lucille Floyd of Sharpsburg, GA; brother-in-law, Charlie Melton of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
