Funeral service for Mr. Willie Allen Ross, 90, of Opelika will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. George McCulloh will officiate. Mr. Ross passed away Monday, January 21, 2008 at the East Alabama Medical Center. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Prior to failing health, he was a member of the Male Choir and treasurer of the Sunday School Department. He was also a former member of Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 11. Mr. Ross retired from West Point Pepperell. His remains will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors: his wife, Gladys Ross, Opelika; a son, Rev. Willie E. (Mary) Ross, Opelika; grandchildren, Michael Ross, Oakland, CA, Patrice Ross, Opelika and Amber Reese, Tuscaloosa; sisters, Lula Pearl Davis, Detroit, MI and Molly Spanks, Syracuse, NY; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Ross, Oakland, CA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
