Syracuse, NY - The mother of a little Syracuse girl who was fatally beaten in November is due in County Court today to plead guilty to a homicide charge in her daughter's death.
Cherron Patterson, 18, is scheduled to appear before Judge William Walsh to plead guilty to criminally negligent homicide in the Nov. 21 death of 20-month-old Imani Jennings, defense lawyer Christina Cagnina said.
Patterson had not previously been charged directly in connection with her daughter's death. She had been charged with assaulting the child on an earlier occasion in November and with endangering the child for leaving the toddler alone in their Fage Avenue apartment the day she died....
