Truculence

If ever out of baking powder, baking soda and buttermilk will suffice.

If a concoction requires eggs and oil, and neither is available, mayonnaise is a suitable substitute.

Some things are interchangeable. Others are not.

When a tiger is called for, a zebra will not do.

It has become stylish in some subcultures to substitute truculence for intelligence.

When grown people do it, children, and the childish, tragically mimic it, and spend their lives stuck in stupidity.
