Camillus, NY -- Camillus police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who took $1,700 worth of condoms and razors from the Kinney Drugs at 4202 W. Genesee St. in Fairmount.
The suspect entered the drug store at about 5:10 p.m. on April 21. Moving between two aisles over 9 to 10 minutes, the man put 23 kinds of condoms and razors in his pants and shirt before leaving the store. The total value of the theft was $1,739.99.
Police believe the suspect put the merchandise in his pants pockets, down the front of his pants or used his t-shirt as a sack.
"He loads himself up," said Detective James Nightingale.
An alarm sounded as the suspect left and clerks tried to follow him.
The suspect looked for specific items, and police said they believe he may be taking the items and selling them to a mom-and-pop store in Syracuse.
The suspect is described as being 25 to 35 years old, about six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing black baggy jeans, a t-shirt and a red cap with white lettering.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Camillus Police Department at 487-0102 and ask for the detectives.
