John A. Porter April 29, 2010 John A. Porter "Duck," left this earthly life and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, surrounded by his family. He was employed and retired from Cooper Crouse- Hinds in Syracuse. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Terry, Jim, David and Jennifer Porter, all of Syracuse; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews friends; and his church family, Four Square C.O.G.I.C. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m., and funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. , both at Four Square C.O.G.I.C., 218 Webster Avenue, Syracuse. Duck was raised by Miss Mary Henderson at the crossing of the Wimberly and Willis Roads in Loachapoka, Alabama.
