ABEDEANE PITTS

Funeral service for Mr. Abedeane Pitts, 86, of Auburn will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, June 7, 2010 at Ebenezer C.M.E. Church with interment in Westview Cemetery. Rev. Larry Threatt will officiate. Mr. Pitts passed Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the East Alabama Medical Center. He was a member of Ebenezer C.M.E. Church and Loachapoka Masonic Lodge No. 292. A family hour will be held Sunday from 6:00 7:00 pm. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors: nine children, Geraldine Pitts, Betty S. Pitts and Angela Pitts all of Auburn, Mary Ann (Nathaniel) Richardson, Brownville, Jimmie (Earnestine) Gibson, Dayton, OH, A. D. Pitts, Robert (Cassandra) Pitts and Michael (Dorothy) Pitts all of Auburn and Aleyisie Slaughter, Syracuse, NY; twenty grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Devoise and Ruth King both of Auburn; a brother, Royzell Pitts, Auburn; sisters-in-law, Roxie Gibson, Auburn and Anna Gibson, Dayton, OH; brothers-in-law, M. L. Childs, Cleveland, OH and George Strickland, Auburn; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Peterson and Williams Funeral Home
