August 3, 2010 Jeffery Lewis Dowdell Sr., 53, passed Tuesday at home.

Jeffery leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his wife, Wyndham Faye Guy-Dowdell; children Lafawn C. (Lamar) Flood, Jeffery L. (Zephania) Dowdell Jr., Kalesha (Jarrett) Laws, Nykiyah T. Dowdell and Kyle M. Dowdell Sr.; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Willie Mae Tinsley and Betty (Paul) Reynolds; brother Sanford Dowdell Jr.; uncles, Leonard and John Works and Ocie Dowdell; aunt, Elizabeth (Bill Joe) Jones; brother-in-law, Andrew "Jaffar" (Khadijah) Guy Jr.; sisters-in-law, Jacquelyn E. Grace-Rasheed (Jawwaad) and Khimberle A. Guy (Wiley); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, including his beloved dog, "Baby Doll Dowdell."
