Barerlon Jeter

Barerlon Jeter, a resident of Shorter, AL died October 3, 2010. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at Nebraska Baptist Church, Hardaway, AL. Interment will follow in Nebraska Cemetery, Hardaway, AL, with McKenzie's Funeral Home Staff directing. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 9, from 2:00 - 6:00 at McKenzie's Funeral Home.

On September 10, 1958, Barerlon was born to Robert and Malinda Jeter in Tuskegee, Alabama. Barerlon confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Divine Bethel Baptist Church in Milstead, Alabama. He attended Prairie Farm Elementary and D.C. Wolfe High School.

Barerlon was a loyal and respected employee of Spectrum/Quick-Serve Corporation for many years. He enjoyed mechanics, creative crafts, listening to music and he was known by his high school classmates/peers for his fly dress style. Barerlon was loved by family, friends and classmates for his caring heart and kindness.

Barerlon’s family – Oscie Murphy, Lillian Smith(Leon), Rexford Jeter (Betty), Willie Mae Powell (Harold), Vanessa Jeter-Freeman (Ben), Glenda Renay Jeter, Quintin Jeter (Dondranise), James Jeter, Deanna Payne (Herman), Barerlon’s brother and sister in-heart: Charles Murphy and Anita Steele and many special nieces, nephews and devoted friends will always cherish and hold close to their hearts his beautiful memories.
