Annie F. Mathews November 12, 2011 Ms. Annie F. Mathews, 69, of Syracuse, departed this life on Saturday at Crouse Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Loachapoka, Alabama to Eugenia Simpson and the late Levi Mathews and stepfather, Jesse Simpson. She was a graduate of Central Technical High School and attended Onondaga Community College. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and Voices of Syracuse Choir. She was a licensed beautician and was employed at Crouse Hinds, Bristol Labs and a substitute teacher with Syracuse City School District. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her son, Byron Neal Williams of Hoffman Estates, IL; her mother, Eugenia Simpson; sister, Ambrosia Cooke of Syracuse; five stepsisters; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; one niece; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; including special friend, Pamala Ricks. Calling hours will be Friday noon to 1 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 143 Beattie St. with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Garland Bros.
