Deacon Jimmie J. Smiley Sr. January 1, 2012 Deacon Jimmie J. Smiley Sr., 83, of Syracuse, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday at Central Park Nursing Home. He was a construction worker for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Evangelist Viola Smiley and two grandsons, Jimmie Smiley III and Master Washington. He leaves to cherish his memory 13 children, Victor Smiley, Shirley Wright (Mike), Sophia Boykins (Afonzo), Bishop Jimmie J. Smiley Jr. (Sarah), Kennedy Smiley, Donna Mallory, Lenice and Fred Page, Donald Kyle, Gwendolyn Bostwick, Randy Smith, Lisa Turk and Tony Epps; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be Saturday, 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m, at Living Water COGIC, 121 Huron St., with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
