PEARL THOMAS YANCEY 

Graveside service for Mrs. Pearl Thomas Yancey of Opelika will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Garden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas passed Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the East Alabama Medical Center. She was a graduate of J. W. Darden High School. Mrs. Thomas retired from Lee County Headstart and East Alabama Mental Health. Survivors: her husband, Billy Yancey Sr., Auburn; six children, Angela (Michael Dowdell) Love, Auburn, Anita Yancey, Smyrna, GA, Billy (Angela) Yancey Jr. and Dominic (Fredericka) Yancey both of Opelika, Mark Yancey, Montgomery and Tabatha (Patrick) Yarbrough, Auburn; twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren; her mother, Willie Mae Thomas, Opelika; one sister, Eva Thomas, Opelika; one brother, Earnest Thomas, Chicago, IL; a special niece, Kwanza Yancey; two brothers-in-law, Willie (Sara) Yancey, Savannah, GA and John Henry (Yvonne) Yancey, Stone Mountain, GA; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Yancey, Auburn; several nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
