Rosetta Cadenhead "Rose" Black: Funeral services for Rosetta Black, 80, of Mobile, AL, formerly of Loachapoka, AL, will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2 Day Lily Street, Loachapoka, AL, 36865 with interment in Pine Level Cemetery, 4650 Arrow Head Road, Loachapoka, AL 36865, Reverend Anthony Shealey will officiate.
Mrs. Black, who passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama, was born March 31, 1943, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 2 – 6 p.m.
Mrs. Black will lie-in-repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory one son, Stanley (Shanjaril) Black of Mobile, AL; two stepchildren, Willie Frank (Alma) Black Jr. of Phenix City, AL and Lisa (Mitchell) Hutchinson of Salem, AL; ten grandchildren, Sankeila Dumas, Stanley Black II, Denisha Black, Devonte Anderson, Deondre Anderson, Shantoria Anderson, Kimberly Black, Detrick (Jamie) Black, Jamaal (LaShunda) Hutchinson and Ke'Ana Hutchinson; special great-grandson, Houstyn Williams; three sisters, Johnnie Mae Kindell, Lou Bertha Mason, both of Cincinnati, OH, and Mozell (Sylvester) Newsome of Loachapoka, AL; one brother, Reverend Robert (Shirley) Cadenhead of Camp Hill, AL; two sisters-in-law, Ludie Love of Opelika, AL and Flenzerine Black of Atlanta, GA; five special friends, Carrie Combs, Laura Dowdell both of Loachapoka, Isaiah Mack of Thomasville, AL, Mary Davis of Wetumpka, AL and Robin Pulliam of Camp Hill, AL; a god daughter, NaTasha Dowdell, and her son, Jaheim of Notasulga, AL; her extended family, Larry (Mattie) Black of Waverly, AL, Sharlyn (Charlie) Griffin of Opelika, AL, Kenneth (Annie) Black and Robert Williams, both of Auburn, AL; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
