Willie Mae Holman

OKOLONA – Willie Mae Holman, 63, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at her home in Okolona. She was born July 24, 1946, to Rufus Collins and Jessie Haynes Collins. She received her education at the Houston Schools. While living in Syracuse, N.Y., she worked in nursing. She was a former employee of Futorian Manufacturing, where she worked for 19 years. She was a member of Pleasant Plain Church and supported it until the end.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Plain Church with the Rev. Micheal McGaha officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Williams Memorial Funeral Home of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, L.C. Holman of Okolona; two daughters, Rita Holman of Okolona and Annette Holman Akins (Jimmy) of Tupelo; one son, Cecil Wayne Holman (Lashaun) of Tupelo; one sister, Mamie Gladney (James) of Syracuse, N.Y.; two brothers, Rufus Collins Jr. of Okolona and Henry Collins (Leona) of Adrian, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
